Websites for plumbers and electricians
Websites for plumbers and electricians that make the phone ring
Most of your customers find you on a phone, with water on the floor or the power off. They call the first tradie whose site loads fast, shows a licence and has a number they can tap. We build that site.

What a plumber or electrician website has to do
A trade website is not a brochure. It has six jobs, and the order matters. Everything else is decoration.
Tap-to-call above the fold
The number is the biggest thing on the screen, it is a real link, and it is there before anyone scrolls. On a burst pipe nobody reads your About page.
A separate after-hours line
If you do emergency work, say so in the first line, show the hours, and make the after-hours number obvious. If you do not, say that too so you stop getting 2am calls.
Licence and insurance in plain view
Licence number, ABN and public liability on the home page and in the footer. People check. State regulators tell them to.
Suburbs you actually cover
A list of suburbs, and a page for each one you want to rank in. "Plumber Parramatta" is a different search from "plumber Penrith", and Google treats them differently.
Reviews with a number next to them
A 4.8 from 300 Google reviews says more than any headline. Pull the live rating in, show three recent reviews, and link to the rest.
Fast on a cheap phone
Under three seconds on a mid-range Android on 4G. Big hero videos and slow page builders are where most trade sites lose the call.
Why tradies lose calls they should have had
Someone in your suburb searches "emergency plumber near me" or "electrician Blacktown". Google shows three map listings and a handful of websites. The person taps the first one or two. Each site has about five seconds to earn the call.
Here is where that call usually goes to a competitor:
- The number is a picture, not a link. The person has to memorise it and switch to the dialler. Half of them do not bother.
- The page is still loading. A big video, a slider and three tracking scripts on a 4G connection. Back button.
- No sign you are licensed. No licence number, no insurance line, no photo of a real person or van. The site looks like it could be a lead-reselling directory, because many of them do.
- No suburb mentioned. The site says "Sydney" and nothing else. The person is in Cronulla and wants to know if you come there.
- The quote form asks for twelve things. Name, phone and "what is the problem" is enough. Photos optional.
- Reviews are hidden on a separate page. Or there are no reviews at all, so the site has to be taken on faith.
None of this is about design taste. It is about removing the reasons a stranger has to hesitate. The sites that win in Australia are rarely the prettiest. They are the ones that answer "can I trust this person and how do I call them" inside one screen. We looked at a few of the best in our plumber website examples article.
What we build
Two options, depending on where you are.
A sales page is one page built around one thing: blocked drains in the Inner West, switchboard upgrades on the Gold Coast, hot water replacement same day. It has the call button, the licence, the reviews, a short quote form and nothing else. It is the right choice if you run Google Ads, if you want to test a new service, or if you have no site today and need one live this fortnight.
A full website is for a business that wants to rank, not just convert. It has:
- A home page that does the six jobs above in one screen.
- A page for each service you want to be found for. Blocked drains, hot water, gas fitting, roof plumbing, EV chargers, smoke alarms, whatever you sell.
- A page for each suburb or region you want to own. Written properly, not the same paragraph with the suburb swapped.
- A quote or booking form that goes to your phone as a text and to your email, with the suburb and job type already filled in.
- Your Google Business Profile connected, so the rating and reviews on the site are live.
- Call tracking, so you know which page and which search made the phone ring.
- Technical SEO and structured data done, so Google and AI assistants understand what you do and where. This is the GEO and AEO part, and it is included, not an extra.
- An editor you can use to change prices, add a suburb or post a job photo without calling anyone.
You also get the site on fast hosting, with your domain, your analytics and your accounts in your name.
Local SEO for trades
Ranking for "plumber" in a whole city is a long, expensive fight. Ranking for the suburbs you work in and the jobs you want is not. Most of your competitors have not done it properly, which is the opportunity.
What moves the needle for a plumbing or electrical business, in order:
- Google Business Profile. Correct categories, service areas, hours including after-hours, photos of real jobs, and a steady flow of reviews. This is the map pack, and the map pack gets most of the calls.
- Service and suburb pages on your own site, each one answering the questions that job brings up. Cost ranges, what is included, how fast you can get there.
- Reviews, asked for every time. A link you text after the job. Reply to every review, including the bad ones.
- Consistent business details everywhere your name appears: directories, hipages, Oneflare, Facebook. Same name, number and address.
- A page that answers the question people ask AI. "Who is a good electrician in Hornsby that does EV chargers?" ChatGPT and Google's AI answers pull from pages that state plain facts about a business. We write those facts into the site.
We run this as a monthly retainer from $1,500 USD, with a plain-English report each month showing rankings, calls and what we changed. If you only want the site, the technical side of this is already built in.
How it works
- Free audit. Send us your current site, or your Google listing if you have no site. Within a few days you get a short written report: speed, mobile, path to a call, rankings in your suburbs, AI visibility, with fixes in order of value. Keep it whether or not you hire us.
- Fixed quote. One call to agree what you need. You get a price and a date in writing.
- Build. We write the pages, you send photos, licence details and the reviews you are proud of. Weekly updates, nothing hidden.
- Launch and hand over. Site live, tracking on, editor training done, accounts in your name. Thirty days of support included.
Pricing
Prices are in USD and fixed before work starts.
| What | From | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Sales page for one service or suburb | $2,500 | 1 to 2 weeks |
| Full website with service and suburb pages | $7,500 | 4 to 8 weeks |

A plumber who charges a few hundred dollars for a call-out needs a small number of extra jobs a month for the site to pay for itself. We will show you the maths in the audit using your own numbers.

Questions tradies ask us
How much does a plumber or electrician website cost?
A sales page for one job type or one suburb starts at $2,500 USD. A complete website with service pages, suburb pages, reviews and a quote form starts at $7,500 USD. You get a fixed quote before any work starts, and the price does not change unless you change the scope.
How long does it take?
A sales page is usually live in one to two weeks. A full website takes four to eight weeks, depending on how many service and suburb pages you need and how quickly we get your photos, licence details and reviews.
I already have a website. Do I need a new one?
Not always. Send us the address and we will audit it: speed on a phone, whether the number is tappable above the fold, how the quote form behaves, where you rank for your services in your suburbs, and whether AI assistants mention you. If targeted fixes will earn more than a rebuild, we say so.
Will the site work for after-hours and emergency calls?
Yes. The phone number is a tap-to-call link on every page, the emergency line is separate from the general line if you run one, and the site can show different hours or a different number after 6pm and on weekends. Calls from the site are tracked so you know which pages make the phone ring.
Do I own the website?
Yes. Once the project is paid, the design, content, code, domain and accounts are yours. You can edit pages yourself with the editor we set up, and you can take the site to another provider at any time.
